“Wish Tree for Tokyo, donated by Yoko Ono to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo for its permanent collection in 2005, has been planted in the Museum’s sculpture garden. Every year on December 9th. Yoko Ono invites the public to come to the museum to write a wish, and hang it on Wish Tree for Tokyo. Wishes were gathered and sent to the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland every year since then. On December 9th of this year, since the Museum is closed to the public because of renovation, you are not able to enter the Museum site. The artist invites you to imagine your wish in your mind. Please join us in a conceptual way!”
