In his works, the Austrian artist Erwin Wurm (b. 1954) is concerned with expanding the traditional concept of sculpture. In the One-Minute sculpture serie, the visitor becomes a living artwork for the duration of sixty seconds. For the show, Erwin Wurm will place older works as well as works developed especially for the Städel in the museum’s galleries and garden.”
